and off beat paths. I have to tell you...It's been very dreamy.
I stop and pull over on a very busy road and take in the beauty.
On these journeys - you have to stop and grab a cupcake or 4.
Having a tasty lunch is a must - of course.
A little Rodeo Drive is good for the soul once in a while.
The Valley View
The evening sky is a vision of beauty that... I can't get enough of.
Love the first and last pictures!

ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I do the same thing here in New York when I get the chance. I can't wait for Spring!
ReplyDeleteGreat surroundings. In Indiana as soon as you leave town you are surrounded by bean and corn fields. No run in with a cupcake shop, unfortunately. -Tonya
ReplyDeleteyou are incredibly amazing
ReplyDeleteSo pretty :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos! And don't blame you one bit for getting 4. ;) Exploring is one of my favorite things---especially backroads and random stores and restaurants. Definitely had some great---and some really bad places. Haha. But worth it!
ReplyDeleteI just love this post! I think I take California for granted; especially SB. You have inspired me to go explore!

ReplyDeleteVal, if I could live anywhere in the world, it would be here where you live! It truly is Paradise! Thanks for the beautiful photos. Makes Utah look like a barren wasteland (but with mountains!)
ReplyDeleteyou're making me SO excited to move to cali!
ReplyDeleteSo many amazing sites! Absolutely gorgeous photos!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pictures!! The food looks amazing! Not to mention I'm starving!
ReplyDeleteYes, a cupcake or four is right. :) Val, I grew up so close to where you live! My dad lived in Thousands Oaks. Aren't you in Malibu? T.O. is just right over the hills from you. I love hwy 1. We've camped along it, biked it, drove it, I love it. And our favorite place to hike was the Santa Monica Mountains for sure.
ReplyDeleteI have a really good restaurant recommendation. On your next fancy occasion, birthday, anniversary, etc. there is a place in Topanga Canyon called The Inn of the Seventh Ray. It is so awesome!!! It's got a green, hippy, granola vibe. And the food is very unique and fantastic. We always went for Mother's Day brunch with my dad's side of the family, his mom. Not only is the food good, the place itself is so interesting. I bet you'd love it. Take care,
Shauna xoxo
