Valentine Muddy Buddies

How cute would this be as a Valentine's, goodie bag for your kids, neighbors,
friends, classmates, or yourself? This is a fun treat to put together with your kids,
it's so simple and easy and oh so tasty! You can be as creative as you'd like by -
adding any of your favorite treats. Just a little something to make your day a tad
             sweeter.

                                                            Valentine Muddy Buddies

9 cups chex cereal, ( I used half rice and half corn)
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
                                         1/2 cup peanut butter
                                         1/4 cup butter
                                         1 teaspoon vanilla
                                         1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
                                         1 cup m&m's
                                         colored sprinkles

                1) In a large bowl place cereal and set aside.
                2) In a microwavable bowl, heat chocolate, peanut butter and butter for one
minute, stir and heat for another 30 seconds or until smooth. Stir in vanilla.
Pour mixture over cereal and stir to coat. Pour into 2 gallon resealable bag.
                3) Place powdered sugar in bag, seal and shake until coated. Spread on -
cookie sheet to cool. Once cooled add your m&m's and sprinkles. Store
                in container or sealable bags.

  4. Thanks so much, Val, for sharing that fun and yummy Valentine treat! I just have to break my diet to make and eat some...I would rather have this than a box of chocolates for Valentine's Day. As usual, your photography makes even everyday items look fabulous.

  17. Yum. We love muddy buddies!!! Have you ever tried making them with white chocolate? Our youngest loves them, but really is not supposed to be eating chocolate due to her migraines. White does not seem to have the same effect.

  21. Hey, I wish we were neighbors too, seriously. First, I would want to get a good look at you since you look like a Super Model and then I would want to get into your house and find all of your props you use in your pictures and "borrow" them. :) Hahahahaha!

I love that you do these themed posts because they give me great ideas, especially since my daughter's birthday is on the love day itself. You can bet I will be using this for her party.

Val, you're the best. Thanks for all of the prep and hard work. Love to you,

  22. So glad you aren't just doing smoothies! We are so ready for some goodies at our house, but still trying to be good ourselves. Maybe next week just before Valentines. We are off to Cabo so trying to lose a couple before we go.

I just love Muddy Buddies and these are sooo pretty with the pink and red M&Ms mixed in. Definitely a fun and easy and gorgeous treat.
