This is the first time I have ever posted the same recipe twice on my blog.
I posted this about three years ago and it's so good that I had to share it again.
The other day I knew I wanted to make chili for Halloween and I thought
about making a different recipe and I just couldn't do it. To me - this is the
best chili I have ever had. A little sweet and a little spicy.
The Best Chili
3 pounds ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
1 red bell pepper
1 green bell pepper
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 ( 28 ounce ) cans diced tomatoes
1 ( 28 ounce ) can tomato sauce
1 jar of prepared tomato sauce - of your choice
2 ( 16 ounce ) cans kidney beans, drained
2 ( 28 ounce ) can baked beans. I use Bush's
1 can jellied cranberry sauce
2 packets chili seasoning
salt and pepper - to taste
1) Saute onion and peppers in a large pot with olive oil until tender add garlic
and beef cook until done. Drain Meat and place back in pot. Add remaining
ingredients and stir. Simmer for 1 hour. Serve with sour cream, green onion
and corn bread. Fritos would be great as well. Note - this makes a lot.
Have fun and share with family and friends.
My mom requests that I make this for every family function, birthdays,
baby showers, holiday events, Mom what can I bring? Her answer is always chili.
