Garlic Festival
This weekend we went to The Gilroy Garlic Festival. If you are a Garlic lover it was
the place to be. The moment you entered Gilroy the entire town smelled so delicious! It
was very warm out and there were tons of people so I only took limited pics. You know
us bloggers could stand in one spot and take a hundred pics. Ha. So much wonderful
food, garlic ice cream, garlic bread, garlic chocolate, and an entire block that was
called Gourmet Alley. They were also filming a Garlic Cook Off! YUM.

Is there anything better than the sheer delight on a child's face when she sees
a ice cream sundae in front of her face?

Blueberry Butter
There are very few things in life that I love more than butter. It just make me happy.
I love full fat with salt butter. I could slather it on everything. I wish I could indulge
more often but my thighs would not not like me. Everything in moderation, right?
You need to make this...like today!! This is perfect for a hostess gift. I like to smear
some on croissants any carb will do. The possibilities are endless. Enjoy!
1 pint blueberries
1 stick salted butter
4 to 5 tablespoons of powdered sugar
lemon zest ( optional )
In a small bowl mash blueberries and set aside. In a another bowl mix butter and
sugar until well combined. Mix the blueberries and butter together and place in
a canning jar or bowl. Refrigerate or sever room temp and thoroughly enjoy!
I came up with recipe because I needed to use up the berries I had!

Prosciutto-Wrapped Asparagus With Raspberry Sauce
Sometime's the hardest thing about planning meals is figuring out what side dish to
make. I heart asparagus...It is my favorite veggie. If I could find a way to incorporate
it in every meal, I would. Wrapping Prosciutto around the asparagus gives it a salty
bite and it's simply divine. The Raspberry Sauce gives the dish a great balance of
sweet and salty!! YUM. These are highly addicting.
Prosciutto-Wrapped Asparagus With Raspberry Sauce
1/3 of a pound of thinly sliced prosciutto
16 asparagus spears, trimmed
1/2 cup seedless jam
2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar
olive oil
salt and pepper
garlic "optional"
1) Cut prosciutto slices in half. Wrap a prosciutto piece around each asparagus spear.
Place on a cookie sheet and drizzle with olive oil, salt and pepper.
2) Preheat oven to 400 and cook about ten minutes. You also can grill the asparagus.
3) In a small microwave safe bowl, microwave jam and vinegar for 20 seconds or
until jam is melted.
This dish would also be perfect as an appetizer for a party!
