flavor. I like making quick and simple meals..that way I can spend more time with my
family and less time in the kitchen. This pasta is everything you need in one bowl.
Pasta with Ham and Peas
1 package orecchiette pasta ( or your favorite )
12 ounces diced ham
1 can peas, drained
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup half and half
1 small shallot, minced
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
salt and pepper - to taste
1) Boil a pot of salted water and cook pasta until al dente.
2) While the pasta is cooking. In a medium skillet heat olive oil and cook shallot,
garlic and add ham. Cook for 5 minutes and add Italian seasoning & half and half.
3) Drain pasta and add peas and ham mixture. Add cheese and salt and pepper.
This would be perfect to serve with a side salad and crust bread!
