Apple Cider Pork Chops with Thyme

The key to great pork chops is not over cooking them and giving them a great
sear that brings great flavor. Apple and pork go hand and hand and this dish
is so simply delicious and all you have to do is add apple cider and thyme.

I served this with baked sweet potatoes and green beans. A great Fall meal.

Apple Cider Pork Chops with Thyme

4 to 6 pork chops about 1/2 inch
                                                       4 sprigs of fresh thyme
                                                       1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder and onion powder
                                                       2 tablespoons olive oil
                                                       3/4 cups apple cider
                                                       1 tablespoon butter

                    1) Sprinkle both side of pork chops with salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion
                    powder.

                    2) Heat skillet with olive oil for 2 minutes. Add pork chops 5 minutes on
each side or until done - time with be different depending on the size of your
                    pork chops.

                    3) Transfer pork chops to plate and add apple cider and stir getting all of
the goodness of the bottom of the skillet. Let apple cider simmer and add
the thyme and stir in the cold butter when it's melted. Pour over pork chops.
